Endy Sleep launched its mattress in early 2015, and as a Canadian company, has been making in-roads in the American market.
Some of the key strengths of the Endy mattress include:
- Simple and straightforward: the Endy mattress doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles or complex elements. Instead, it offers a streamlined foam design that is likely to be comfortable for a broad range of sleepers.
- Firmer memory foam feel: while some memory foams are notorious for sleepers sinking deeply into the mattress, the Endy is designed to try to provide more responsiveness and resilience than the traditional memory foam style.
Potential drawbacks for the Endy mattress include
- Only one firmness option: the Endy mattress is only available in one firmness level, which likely limits its appeal to people who are looking for anything but a medium to medium-firm mattress.
- Lower density comfort layer: the memory foam comfort layer of the Endy Mattress has a density of 3 pounds per cubic foot (3 PCF). This is a lower density than many comparable foam mattresses and could contribute to durability issues.
- Limited track record: though Endy has received a lot of press since its launch in 2015, it is still too early to be able to know how well this mattress will perform with many years of regular use.

Endy Sleep does not have a rating from the Better Business Bureau, and we have limited information about their customer service reputation. However, as with many things, no news is often good news, and we have not heard reliable reports of explicitly negative experiences with their customer service.
The Endy mattress is simple and straightforward in its design, layering memory foam on top of layers of transition foam and support foam. While verified and reliable reviews are lacking, the nature of the mattress composition is likely comparable to many similar all-foam mattresses.
The Endy mattress comfort layer is gel-infused memory foam. The company states that they have worked to use a memory foam with more resilience without sacrificing support. In general, this type of material typically produces a solid level of support for people in most sleeping positions. Because there is only a 2″ comfort layer, however, some sleepers, especially heavier sleepers, may find this to be less supportive than mattresses with deeper and denser comfort layers.
WIthout long-term data, it is a challenge to try to determine how durable the Endy Mattress will be over time. However, the comfort layer is built with 3 PCF density memory foam, and this may be more susceptible to sagging or indenting than a higher density foam. For reference, in our picks for the Best Memory Foam Mattress of 2017, we required contenders to have a minimum of 3.5 PCF for their memory foam layer.
Endy offers only one level of firmness, which falls around a 6-7 on the typical firmness scale. Many customers may find it slightly more firm than some other memory foam mattresses, but for people who prefer a very plush or very firm feel, the Endy probably isn’t the right fit.
Based on its design, the Endy mattress — like most memory foam mattresses — limits motion transfer and helps prevent one person from disrupting another during sleep. However, it may not have quite as much motion isolation as some more traditional memory foam mattress into which sleepers sink deeply.
As with most foam mattresses, some offgassing and smell can be expected after the Endy is unboxed, but this usually goes away within a few hours to a few days. Extremely smell-sensitive customers may prefer a mattress made without any large foam layers.
The Endy is built with gel-infused memory foam, which is advertised as helping to reduce the risk of sleeping hot. While some sleepers swear by it, reviews are mixed about whether gel memory foam actually reduces heat retention. Overall, though, given its design, the Endy is unlikely to sleep any hotter than most memory foam mattress available on the market today.
Memory foam has a reputation for inhibiting sexual activity because people can feel stuck as they sink into the mattress. The comfort layer in the Endy mattress is intended to provide more resilience, which can help to alleviate this issue.
The table below provides a comparison of some mattresses with similarities to the Endy mattress in terms of construction and feel.
