The DreamCloud is new entrant to the market as a tall — 15” — hybrid mattress that includes numerous layers of memory foam around an innerspring support core with a quilted cashmere cover.
Some of the key strengths of the DreamCloud mattress include:
- 365 night sleep trial and lifetime warranty: the company offers two extremely customer-friendly policies for its sleep trial and warranty. You can try out the mattress risk-free for 365 nights, and if the mattress ever has defects, the company will replace it at no cost.
- Extensive use of memory foam: while some hybrid mattresses use just one thin layer of memory foam, this mattress has memory foam layers throughout.
- Cashmere cover for plush feel: for people who want a mattress that gives a feeling of softness without sacrificing firmness and support, a cashmere cover like this one may provide that extra-luxe feel.
Potential drawbacks for the DreamCloud mattress include:
- Vague mattress specifications: the DreamCloud website is loaded with flowery language about the quality of their materials, but there is very little detail provided about the actual details of those materials. For example, the thicknesses and densities of the foams are not stated, which complicates our ability to know how high-quality these materials truly are.
- Limited track record: because this mattress is new to the market, data is limited about customer satisfaction and durability over the medium- to long-term.
DreamCloud Mattress Pricing
The DreamCloud is offered in 6 different sizes, but currently, the Twin and TwinXL sizes are not available. Pricing for the other 4 sizes is listed in the table below.

About the DreamCloud Mattress
DreamCloud Mattress Specifications
The DreamCloud mattress is built using 8 different layers.
Top: TrueTufted™ Cashmere blend cover
Second: gel-infused memory foam
Third: quilted memory foam
Fourth: natural latex
Fifth: memory foam
Sixth: soft memory foam
Seventh: foam-encased pocketed innerspring coils
Eighth: support memory foam
While the company lists the composition of each of these layers, you’ll notice that there’s a lack of information about the actual details of these materials. First and foremost, the thickness of each individual layer is not specified. The thickness of a particular layer can affect its overall performance and how it influences the feel of the mattress. Second, there is no detail shared about the density or ILD of any of these foams.
While the DreamCloud website uses terms like “super dense,” “supreme,” and “super soft” to describe the foams, these are marketing terms, not specifications. For customers who really want to investigate and know what’s inside the mattress, DreamCloud’s mattress descriptions leave much to be desired.
Where to Buy
The DreamCloud mattress is currently only available online directly from the company’s website.
Sleep Trial / Refunds
DreamCloud offers a full year-long sleep trial, which is easily among the most customer-friendly of any sleep trial available in the industry. During the first 365 nights of having this mattress in your home, you can decide to return it to the company and receive a full refund. If you opt for a return, the company will coordinate with you to pick it up from your home at no charge.
Free shipping for the DreamCloud is available to the contiguous United States. Shipping is done by FedEx, and the mattress usually arrives within 1-5 days after an order is placed.
Standard shipping by FedEx brings the mattress to your front door. The mattress arrives compressed in packaging and inside a box. Once you remove the mattress from the packaging, it expands to reach its full size.
White glove delivery — which includes setup of the mattress and haul-away of packaging and your old mattress — is available through DreamCloud. Costs for this service will depend on your location.
The DreamCloud mattress comes with what the company calls its Everlong lifetime warranty, which is rare in the mattress industry. During the first ten years of this warranty, the company will replace the mattress if there are any manufacturing defects. After that point, the company will either repair and re-condition the mattress or replace it in the event of a defect. There are no transportation or shipping charges for the customer in the event of a warranty repair. Full warranty details are available at https://www.dreamcloudsleep.com/p/warranty/.
DreamCloud has clearly adopted a number of policies — such as its warranty and sleep trial — that are designed to be extremely customer-friendly. While these are positive signs, the company has not been in business long enough to gauge how well it will follow through on its promises of customer service.
As a hybrid, this mattress intends to provide responsiveness, bounce, and a plush, welcoming feel. There is limited data from verified customers regarding the performance of the DreamCloud hybrid, but based on its design, we can address how most sleepers are likely to experience this mattress.
This mattress provides support in two primary ways. First, the innerspring support core uses pocketed coils that are more responsive than many traditional coils. These are able to respond more to the body and accommodate pressure points. Second, this responsiveness is further enhanced by the layers of memory foam above the coils. Memory foam contours to the body and can help promote spinal alignment. At the same time, the layering of different types of memory foam is intended to prevent the problem that can arise with some foam mattresses of sinking too deeply into the mattress.
We are simply not able to effectively judge the likely durability of the DreamCloud mattress for two reasons. First, it is too new to the market, so there is not data or customer reports reflecting long-term use. Second, because of the undisclosed mattress specifications, we are not able to evaluate the extent to which the density of these foams would contribute to durability.
While this creates uncertainty regarding the durability of the mattress overall, many customers may take comfort in knowing that they have 365 days to try the mattress and that any defects would be covered under the lifetime warranty.
The DreamCloud mattress is only offered in one firmness level, which falls as a 6.5 to 7 on the typical firmness scale.
One of the hallmark strengths of memory foam is its ability to isolate motion. Because of the way it contours to the body, movement on one part of the mattress is barely felt on other parts of the mattress. This makes a mattress like the DreamCloud, which has several layers of memory foam, a good fit for couples.
Because this mattress contains quite a bit of foam, some initial odor is to be expected when the mattress is opened. However, the odor should go away within a few hours and does not pose any sort of health risk.
Memory foam has a reputation for sleeping hot because the foam can retain heat and because sleepers may sink too deeply into the mattress, which prevents airflow around the body. DreamCloud has attempted to avoid these issues by heat-treating their cover and by using foams with more resilience, which helps to protect against sinking too deeply into the mattress. Nevertheless, for people who have known issues with sleeping hot, a different type of mattress without as much contouring from memory foam may be a better fit.
Because this mattress is made with more resilient foams and with a support core of pocketed innerspring coils, it should have adequate bounce such that it does not prevent owners of this mattress from having an active sex life.
