We purchased a S&F mattress from Macy’s 5 years ago. After two years, we called Macy’s to send someone because my side ( the side we have sex) was sagging and took the fun out of hoochie koochie. They sent a tech and he told us that the sag is only 1 inch. Three years later, we called them and hoping they replace the mattress. they are sending someone to check out the sag. I have 400 lbs of weight sitting on the bed and hoping it does the damage before the tech gets here. I won’t buy S&F mattress again.

Please do not forget that usually the only consumers who post reviews are dissatisfied ones! i own a local business that absolutely LOVES Stearns and Foster and have HUNDREDS of my customers who agree! It is the only way to go for luxury. Every mattress company can have a few problems here and there. unfortunately they end up on a review website and stain the companies reputation.
Lastly a mattress warranty is only as good as the store you buy from. We are successful because we have been in business for 50 years and genuinely care about your purchase. We take TIME to find the perfect mattress and are careful to explain the differences between models and price points!

WOW! Just happened on this website as we are very close to purchasing a Stearns & Foster mattress. After reading the above reviews I am just shocked – there is not a positive response to Stearns & Foster even though they are suppose to be the highest rated mattress – this being said by all the sales people we have talked with.

What to do? Don’t feel too positive anymore and was going to write a cheque today.

We purchased our first set of S & F mattress set over 10 years ago. Within the first year there was noticeable sags on both sides. We had the top mattress replaced free of charge, and the same problem. The third time, we paid to upgrade the top mattress….still sags. We will never purchase another S&F product.

We just purchased a Eureka Springs Plush S & F mattress, it arrived a week ago, the product they use in the foam on top smells SO BAD that I have not been able to sleep in the bed yet! It came with two foam pillows that also smell so bad I can’t use them! The place I purchased them told me to have my kids jump on the bed to air it out!! And then said to leave a fan on it for a couple of days…Really? I a paid $1,800 for a bed I can’t sleep on? And you want me to have kids jump on it? Waiting for a call back from S & Foster, we will see what they have to say. Has any one else experienced this problem? Sleepless in Seattle….

I thought I was careful about choosing a mattress. I ended up forking out over $3 thousand for a S&F silver something or other. While the materials and build of the S&F mattress appeared to be superior, I couldn’t have been less disappointed in my purchase. My wife and I soon found ourselves sleeping in craters. My biggest fear with any mattress is sag. I don’t want to sleep on a rock, but I also don’t want to sleep in a crater. I especially don’t want to sleep in a crater after spending over $3 thousand. Perhaps S&F makes some good products and we just found a lemon. I’ll never know because I’ll never buy another.

We just purchased a SF mattress from Art Van Furniture. We have had it about 3 weeks and can notice indentations from where we lay. I weight 124 lbs so this worries me. What will the mattress be like in a year. I plan on going back to the store and looking at some other brand mattress to exchange it with. First I will be looking over all the reviews on this website. I am on my second s and f king size paid nearly $5,000.00 each time. It is just one that sleeps in this bed, the first time it began to sag after three years and I put up with that for another year. Next, I purchased even a more expensive set and after six years I have to sleep in the guest room on a queen size s and F which is great, it is ten years old.

I called the store and they send a man from a “service” that does the measurements and he said the sink of only 1/2″ and that it would not be covered in their warrent.

I gave both sets away to the local Mission and now I am trying to find a very good set but dont’ know what to choose.

We are on our second S&F, and could not be more disatisfied. We had a pillowtop at first and it sagged, so S&F replaced, but had to pay $50 for a person to come to house and measure sagging. The sagging was worse on my side and I weight only 125 lbs, ny husband weights about 200. Our second mattress we had to pay the difference in price because they had a price increase. So we thought..well maybe if we don’t get the pillowtop it won’t sag, wrong, it’s just as bad, even worse. So we called to have it also replaced. They said it had to sag almost 2 inches to be replaced, another $50 and it was a quarter of an inch off. I now sleep in our spare bedroom my back husts so bad from this expensive mattress. It’s still under warrenty but we want it gone..we are shopping for another brand. The mattress had issues under a year in to owning it. I would never pay the price again for a S&F.
