I have shopped for mattresses all day and I kind of thought, S & F makes the best, according to the sale’s rep. I found a King size S & F in a discounted store for $1300.00 but they did not want to give any warranty over 30 days. Thank God, I did not buy the mattress. I will buy individual pocketed coil mattress from Mathis Brothers and get 25 years warranty for less than a thousand or so.

We bought a Stearns and Foster 35 years ago….and finally are ready to replace it. it has been wonderful. I was looking at buying another S&F, but maybe they “don’t make them like used to”.

I’m so scared…after a couple years of saving & weeks of looking at mattresses,i just purchased a S & F today! I paid over $2,000.00 for it. I was wanting to invest long term & everyone told me this was the way to go! I’m worried now

I bought a S&F Beale Street mattress several years ago and it needs replacing due to the sag in the middle and blown side support. I am really pissed because I paid $1700 for this mattress set expecting a high quality product, boy was I wrong. Shame on you S&F.

I purchased The Manghattan Reserve From mattress Firm with a 15 year warranty by Stearns & Foster, It began to sag within 10 Months. I paid 25. for an inspector and requested the business license with the complaint. To date no inspector no business license and my credit card out 25. I will not comment on the time wasted and telephone callls and faxes. I most recently found hundreds of complaints about Stearns & Foster and Mattress Firm, and Mattress Marshalls the inspector. I have purchased extra padding. I have foud a qualified inspecctor and will sue Mattress Firm… They should Be CLOSED DOWN PERMANENTLY FO FRAUD! Patricia

We are on our second stearns and foster mattress, the first one we took back after 3 months rotating almost weekly. The second one is less than six months and it is severely sagging and we rotate it weekly too. We paid over 3,000.00 I thought I would get a good product, I wish I had found this site before we went mattress shopping. I highly recommend buying a different brand.

We purchased a S&F mattress from Macy’s 5 years ago. After two years, we called Macy’s to send someone because my side ( the side we have sex) was sagging and took the fun out of hoochie koochie. They sent a tech and he told us that the sag is only 1 inch. Three years later, we called them and hoping they replace the mattress. they are sending someone to check out the sag. I have 400 lbs of weight sitting on the bed and hoping it does the damage before the tech gets here. I won’t buy S&F mattress again.

Please do not forget that usually the only consumers who post reviews are dissatisfied ones! i own a local business that absolutely LOVES Stearns and Foster and have HUNDREDS of my customers who agree! It is the only way to go for luxury. Every mattress company can have a few problems here and there. unfortunately they end up on a review website and stain the companies reputation.
Lastly a mattress warranty is only as good as the store you buy from. We are successful because we have been in business for 50 years and genuinely care about your purchase. We take TIME to find the perfect mattress and are careful to explain the differences between models and price points!

WOW! Just happened on this website as we are very close to purchasing a Stearns & Foster mattress. After reading the above reviews I am just shocked – there is not a positive response to Stearns & Foster even though they are suppose to be the highest rated mattress – this being said by all the sales people we have talked with.

What to do? Don’t feel too positive anymore and was going to write a cheque today.

We purchased our first set of S & F mattress set over 10 years ago. Within the first year there was noticeable sags on both sides. We had the top mattress replaced free of charge, and the same problem. The third time, we paid to upgrade the top mattress….still sags. We will never purchase another S&F product.
